SOS Santé Wins ArabNet Startup Battle

The Casablanca ArabNet Startup Battle took place yesterday and was overflowing with innovative ideas, strong pitches, and structured presentations as 10 selected finalists pitched to the judges. A panel on the state of digital entrepreneurship in Morocco followed the pitches.

Prior to introducing you to the winning startups, we remind you that the 3 winners of Casablanca’s Startup Battle have secured their chance to fly to ArabNet’s Digital Summit this year to compete in the Startup Championship against the winners from all the regional ArabNet Startup Battles. They will pitch their business model to a panel of stellar judges of investors and professionals, for a chance to win a $20K prize, as well as a scholarship to participate in the Blackbox Connect program.

In first place – SOS Santé
Founder – Khalid Machchate, Country – Morocco
SOS Santé is an easily installable IoT device on cars, locates the closest medical facility to you, sends them your distress signal, location, blood type, drug allergies…automatically and in a simple format.

In second place – Koolna
Founder –Houssam Alami, Country – Morocco
Koolna is an online platform where travellers and adventure seekers can find likeminded people, organize and plan their trips, choose their activities, create group discussions, join a travel group, share their experience, and travel tricks.

In third place –  Ivendi.ma
Founder –
Hicham Lahlou Mimi, Country – Morocco
Ivendi.ma is the first web platform in Morocco that aims to bring home buyers and sellers together, saving along the way the commission paid to the broker.
